"When you mingle with the right people, your mindset becomes like them"Pardon my poor memory for being unable to remember who said the above quote. Not the exact words, but the gist of it is there, and it rings true to me.
There are two scenarios that leave me feeling very inspired to work on and create something to be proud of. The first of which is when I have absolutely nothing to do and am unable to stimulate my senses, such as waiting for others or listening to boring lectures after exhausting all entertainment options. Knowing that the time that will be spent could have been used for hacking and coming up with something fun and useful is the source of the motivation.
The other scenario? Attending technology and startup events, CS3216 sharing sessions, and brainstorming and coding activities with group mates - all of which fall under the idea of "being with like-minded people" - is where inspiration overflows.
The past two weeks have not been smooth sailing however. It is rare for me (still) to leave school close to midnight with a smile on my face, but I have done so for most of the days since the semester began. Unfortunately, behind that smile, a small part of me cannot help but wonder if I would be a lot more happier and relaxed if I did not take this module.
I recognize that such feelings are a choice, and ultimately it is up to me to fulfil my aspirations and expectations with a driven, positive mindset.
Emotions aside, technical aspects wise, all I have contributed thus far is development setup. Looking forward to not just coding, but software development as a whole!
